What this service is, and what it is not.
What UpdateMyCV provides
An automated assessment of a CV, an automated comparison against a job description, and an automated rewrite of that CV. The service is free to use. No part of it involves a human reviewing your CV.
What it does not promise
UpdateMyCV does not promise interviews, shortlisting or employment, and no score it produces guarantees any outcome. Scores are an assessment of a document, not of you, and no single applicant tracking system score exists to be replicated, because every system ranks differently.
We are not a recruitment agency. We do not place candidates and we do not send your CV to employers.
Your responsibilities
- Upload only your own CV, or one you have permission to upload.
- Check the optimised CV before you use it. The rewrite repositions what your CV already said and is built never to invent anything, but you are the person accountable for what your CV claims. Read it, and correct anything that does not match your record.
- Do not use the service to misrepresent your experience or qualifications.
- Do not attempt to disrupt the service or use it in an automated way at volume.
Accuracy
The analysis is produced by an AI system and can be wrong. Where your CV is unclear, the assessment may be too. Treat it as an informed second opinion, not a verdict.
Availability and changes
The service is provided as it is, without any guarantee of availability. We may change or withdraw features. These terms will change before public launch, and the current version is always the one published here.
