These terms are a contract between you and UpdateMyCV Technologies LLC. By using updatemycv.com you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.

Who you are contracting with

updatemycv.com is operated by UpdateMyCV Technologies LLC. UpdateMyCV Technologies LLC is a licensed and registered entity in the United Arab Emirates.

References to “we”, “us” and “our” mean UpdateMyCV Technologies LLC.

What UpdateMyCV provides

An automated assessment of a CV, an automated comparison against a job description, and an automated rewrite of that CV. No part of it involves a human reviewing your CV.

Seeing your CV score is free, always, with no limit. Part of what follows is free once per verified email address, and the rest is part of a paid package. Packages are one-time payments: you use what is included, and it ends.

What it does not promise

UpdateMyCV does not promise interviews, shortlisting or employment, and no score it produces guarantees any outcome. Scores are an assessment of a document, not of you, and no single applicant tracking system score exists to be replicated, because every system ranks differently.

Everything the service produces is generated automatically and is guidance, not advice and not a guarantee. It does not guarantee employment, interviews, performance in any applicant tracking system, or acceptance by any employer. What an employer does with your CV is outside our control.

We are not a recruitment agency. We do not place candidates and we do not send your CV to employers.

Accuracy

The analysis is automated and can be wrong. Where your CV is unclear, the assessment may be too. Treat it as an informed second opinion, not a verdict.

Your responsibilities

• Upload only your own CV, or one you have permission to upload.
• Check the optimised CV before you use it. The rewrite repositions what your CV already said and is built never to invent anything, but you are the person accountable for what your CV claims. Read it, and correct anything that does not match your record.
• Do not use the service to misrepresent your experience or qualifications.
• Do not attempt to disrupt the service or use it in an automated way at volume.

Your account

There is no password and no registration form. Your account is the email address you verify with a six-digit code. Anything you buy, and every document we generate for you, belongs to that address.

Keep access to that email address. It is how you prove a package and a document are yours, and we cannot move a purchase to a different address on request alone.

Your account is personal to you. Packages and documents cannot be shared, sold or transferred.

What is free

Before you buy anything, you can see your CV score as often as you like, at no cost. Your first assessment report download, your first 2 CV optimizations with their downloads, and your first Job Match are also free, once per verified email address.

Reopening any result you already have is always free and is not limited.

Packages

Each package is a one-time payment. Nothing renews, nothing is billed again, and there is no subscription to cancel. What a package includes is shown when you buy it, and that is what you are buying.

How allowances are used

• An allowance is used only when work succeeds. If a generation fails, nothing is used and you can try again.
• If we refuse an operation to protect the service, for example because of a limit or an interruption, nothing is used.
• Reopening a result you already have uses nothing.
• Asking for something you have already generated from an unchanged CV gives you the result you already have, and uses nothing.
• Each optimization uses one optimization allowance, whether or not you have given us a job advert to aim it at.
• Unused allowances end with the package. They do not roll over and they are not transferred to a new package.

Holding one package at a time

You may hold one package at a time. Buying a different one replaces the one you hold. Your current package stays active until the new payment succeeds, and if the payment fails or is cancelled nothing changes. Once the new package is active, the previous one ends and anything unused in it is lost. We tell you this before you pay and ask you to confirm it.

Documents you have generated

Every optimised or tailored CV we generate for you stays available to you for 90 days from the day that document was generated. During that period you can download it again as many times as you like, at no further cost. This applies even if your package has expired, and even if you have replaced it with another package.

Where a package you bought included free revisions of a document, those revisions stay free until that document’s revision window ends, whatever has happened to the package that produced it. Packages bought from 26 September 2026 do not include revisions.

Payment

You are buying from UpdateMyCV Technologies LLC. Payments are taken by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Prices are shown in US dollars. Prices include or exclude applicable taxes as displayed at checkout, and taxes are handled in accordance with our registration obligations. The total amount payable is shown before you confirm the payment.

Your bank may add its own charges for a foreign transaction. Those are between you and your bank.

On your bank statement the charge appears as UPDATEMYCV.COM.

Availability and changes

The service is provided as it is, without any guarantee of availability. We may change or withdraw features. These terms may change, and the current version is always the one published here.

If we withdraw a feature you have already paid for, and you cannot use what you bought as a result, tell us and we will refund the unused part.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the outcome of any job application, for any decision an employer or an applicant tracking system makes, or for any loss arising from your reliance on automatically generated guidance. Our total liability in connection with the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Your rights as a consumer

Nothing in these terms affects any mandatory rights you have under the consumer protection laws that apply to you. Where those rights conflict with anything written here, those rights prevail.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. We intend the courts of Sharjah to be the venue for any dispute arising from them. This is not an exclusive choice of forum, and it does not prevent you from bringing proceedings in another place where the law that applies to you allows it.

Nothing in these terms removes any mandatory consumer-protection right you have under the law that applies to you. Where any such right conflicts with this clause, or with anything else in these terms, that right prevails.
